The study program Control of Machines and Processes is focused on the control of machines and the control of processes. As a machine you can imagine different production equipment and its subsystems, just as their grouping, it can be a robot, autonomous systems or mechatronic systems. The process can be not only a production technology in different fields of industry but also it can be the decision-making processes and control processes at the upper level of the production and manufacturing processes. The PhD student deepens knowledge from control systems components with the focus on microcontrollers, embedded control systems, PLCs and industrial PCs in connection with the topic of the dissertation. He extends one’s knowledge in the control systems design for machine or process control, measurement technology and sensors, actuators including the hydraulic and pneumatic drives. He makes his knowledge of the design of the control algorithms for different control levels of the hierarchical control system deeper. He concentrates on logical control, continuous and discrete control methods, process visualization, analysis of dynamic systems and their modelling, identification and simulation and use of this expertise in the design of machine or process control. He gains his experience with the practical use of different software like MATLAB, Simulink, LabView, ANSYS, Fluent etc.

Doctoral degree in Economy and Management allows by its structure and content focus to link to the knowledge gained from master's degree. It is a major research-oriented knowledge and skills associated with the study of many subjects that are tied to the functional areas of business systems. Within the scientific-research preparation, students are trained in subjects including applications of exact methods that enhance the effectiveness of both analytical activities in the company, and the search and evaluation of alternatives solutions to various business problems. In the study, students also process research and professional work using scientific methods and approaches to the issues of these works. These works then enable the preparation of the final doctoral dissertation with significant levels of work-oriented work as a research nature. This work is the ultimate goal of doctoral studies in the field. Throughout the study, doctoral students are taught by professional tutors.

The Construction of Production Machines program aims to educate researchers in the field of machine design and sophisticated production technologies, whether they are basic structural elements and nodes, or complex projects of large machinery. The program consists of several specializations. These specializations cover a relatively large area of construction and calculations of both machines and their parts and groups. Another area is the issue of machine drives, both mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic. Other specializations are transport and material handling, earthmoving, mining and construction machinery. Within the complexity of the program, knowledge in the field of maintenance and diagnostics is deepened for all the above-mentioned devices. The whole study is highly professional and the latest knowledge of the field is applied in it. Top designs and optimization methods are used in designs and calculations. Of course, work with modern 3D CAD applications and FEM systems. Students design machines and machine parts with regard to load-bearing capacity and required service life. Graduates acquire these resources on a professional level. They become experts in individual specializations and at the same time their knowledge is sufficient to be able to work as designers or calculators in other design fields.
