The primary mission of the educational programmes in Social Work is consistent with the mission of the profession: to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic human needs of all people, with particular attention to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable, oppressed, and living in poverty.

IUGS students are typically mid-career professionals who completed post-baccalaureate coursework. Students who need additional coursework to fulfill their requirements will be provided the opportunity to take the course(s) at another accredited institution or through independent study at IUGS.

Marriage and Family Therapy

IUGS’s Management and Applied Economics Programme have a primary mission to enhance the student’s ability to serve his or her profession through graduate degree studies.

The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Library and Information Science is available to librarians who are ABD or have two masters' degrees, one that is ALA accredited Library Science and one in another discipline, or the equivalent coursework.

The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) may be undertaken in any discipline within the Arts or Sciences. The degree offers ABDs or those who have earned sixty-six graduate credits from an accredited institution the opportunity to complete their doctoral studies.

The Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy programmes in Parapsychology seek to provide evidenced-based instruction and opportunities for significant research to mature individuals with a clear interest in understanding complex, often misrepresented and misunderstood phenomena of human life.
