Programme Description

This doctoral study will be awarded to the presence and distance learning. It can apply to all who were interested in the areas of classical and modern German philosophy, French philosophy the 19th century. and 20th Century, the French and German phenomenology and the current international reception of these philosophies are interested in and the reception conditions (necessary documents s. meet u.).

The curricula of the doctoral students in this program include the following to be provided during the two-year study (Minimum Duration): In addition to the preparation of at least three term papers following the compulsory courses of the Accreditation are at least three articles to be published, participating in at least three conferences as well as at least two research stays abroad related to the thesis. The final study is to demonstrate the above services, the submission of the thesis and in their defence in the context of a promotion examination. The final successful doctoral allowed the title Ph.D. to lead.

Information on the selection procedure and the selection criteria for the academic year 2017/2018

The admission procedure includes: Evaluation of the project of the doctoral thesis by the Admissions Committee (5 points maximum). The criteria are the relevance of the project in terms of the profile of the subject "German and French philosophy", the substantive coherence of the project, its feasibility, adequate number of text sources and the expertise of the candidate. Review of previous research activities of the applicant (5 points maximum).

Conditions for admission

Enrolment requires you to register for the doctoral degree until 30. 4. 2017, and you must submit the following supplements:

  1. Project outline of the thesis with the determination of the research area and clear formulation of the project to thematizing issues, and with the determination of the procedure and process stages.

  2. A provisional list of texts or the authors or sources that are used for the dissertation, in the following structure: a) already by geforschten texts, b) the texts, or Authors or sources from which the candidate wants to go out in his doctoral thesis.

  3. Private philosophical text (which has already been published or written under the previous study).

  4. A Curriculum Vitae with list of publications.

  5. Written consent of the work leader with the leadership of the dissertation.

The project must be agreed with the Head of the PhD thesis. The conductor is either a member of the Professional Board of the faculty or on the list of heads of theses, which was approved by the Professional Board.

A university or university degree certificate corresponding to the title of Master (to be submitted no later than 30 September 2017).

Shooting conditions:

  • Completion of a Master's program or subsequent master study program.

  • Candidates need to explain their project outline of the doctoral thesis under an admission interview.

  • Successfully complete the admission interview.
