Introduction
The research within the program should be aimed at the relationship between philosophy, science, and technology in the process of the historical development of scientific knowledge, and the specifics of convergent technologies in digital civilization.
Possible research areas:
Ethics of science and Ecophilosophy; Philosophy of scientific and technological progress; Philosophical aspects of artificial intelligence and cyber anthropology; Philosophical aspects of interdisciplinary research in modern science; Conceptual analysis of the system methodology, the principles of information, cognitive and synergetic paradigm; Relationships dynamics between various science fields at different stages of its development.
Ideal Students
The program is aimed at students who want to explore the trends in the development of modern science and technology in the philosophical aspect, wish to combine the experience of the history of worldview thought in philosophy with knowledge in a specific disciplinary field or with problems of an interdisciplinary nature that arise with the development of convergent (NBIC) technologies, to explore the problems of human perspectives about the development of artificial intelligence and robotics, as well as the problems of bioethics and eco-system modeling of the global world in the conditions of digital civilization.
Admissions
Curriculum
The Ph.D. program consists of six semesters (180 ECTS).
In each semester the Ph.D. student must complete 30 ECTS, which corresponds to a workload of 800 hours.
