PhD in Structural Integrity of Aircrafts

The 3rd cycle in Structural Integrity of Aircraft aims to respond to the needs of the current labor market in the aeronautics area and aims to train professionals with advanced skills and knowledge in engineering mechanic, materials, and aeronautic, essential to the exercise of aeronautical maintenance activities, an industry in expansion in Portugal.

It is intended that students gain the skills to continue to develop and apply, independently, the acquired knowledge, becoming an important asset in the academic or industrial institutions where they will develop their activity. Its objective is to train, through research, professionals who demonstrate the capacity for technical and professional leadership and the necessary adaptability in an ever-changing society.

The cycle of studies also seeks to attract students from other backgrounds, and professionals in the fields of mechanical engineering, materials, and aeronautics who wish to specialize and progress in the career.
