Introduction
This program is adapted to a specialized and competitive postgraduate offer with respect to the university, national and international environment, increasing the social prestige of postgraduate studies. This proposal is intended to reinforce the prestige of USC's research career.
The incorporation of doctors to companies will be promoted in order to extend their capacity beyond teaching and research, in order to promote productive activity. The proposal is consistent with the necessary modification of resource management patterns, seeking to optimize their use, through internal and external collaboration formulas and is closely and directly related to R & D & I in each and every one. of the lines of research covered by the Doctorate Program in Economics and Business. Precisely, some of these lines have already produced research results that have been transferred in the form of knowledge to society, the private sector and public decision-making bodies. In particular, we will stand out for its special relevance for key sectors of the economy that are intended to develop in the medium and long term issues related to tourism and innovation. Likewise, the lines of research delve into the analysis of internationalization and entrepreneurship.

Ideal Students
A. Entry profile without training supplements:
Graduates/Degrees/Diploma holders in Economics and/or Business who have completed a Master's Degree in Economics and/or Business adapted to the EHEA. Students with a DEA degree or equivalent obtained through Economics and Business programs. Students who have completed the following master's degrees:
- University of Santiago de Compostela: Master of Economic Development and Innovation. Master of Business Management. Master in Urban Tourism and Tourism Business Management.
- Other non-participating universities:
- ISAG University-Porto (Bachelor in Business Management - 180 ECTS + Master in Business Management - 120 ECTS).(Bachelor in Tourism - 180 ECTS + Master in Development of Tourist Destinations - 120 ECTS)
- Aalborg University (Denmark) (MSc in Innovation, Knowledge and Economic Dynamics (MIKE-E)). (MSc in Innovation, Knowledge and Entrepreneurial Dynamics (MIKE-B))
- University of Sussex (UK) (MSc in Technology and Innovation Management, SPRU)
B. Entry profile with training complements:
In the case of other profiles of Graduates/Bachelors in Economics and Business, but who did not take master's courses, an equivalence of training in research credits will be required, equal to at least those of the master's degree that gives direct access, which will be 12 ECTS.
Other profiles: in the case of other types of profiles different from the previous ones, the academic committee will evaluate each case individually. The possibility of requiring training supplements (maximum up to 15 ECTS) will be considered.
C. Students with foreign degrees
Students with a foreign degree that has not been approved may apply for admission to doctoral studies as long as a level of training equivalent to that of the official Spanish university master's degree is accredited and entitles the country issuing the degree to access doctoral studies. . This admission will not imply, in any case, the homologation of the previous degree or recognition for purposes other than those of access to these teachings.
